Divi Page Management
01
Add Pages
Navigate to Pages > All Pages.
The best way to create a new page is to find an existing page that uses the same template you want your new page to use.
Click ‘Add New’ to create a new page and select the ‘Use the Divi Builder’ button,
followed by the ‘Use Visual Builder’ button.
Next choose the ‘Clone Existing Page’ option. Click on the page you’d like to copy as a starting template.
Specify the properties, as per the below:
Page Details
Page Name: Type in the title of your page
Page URL: Click ‘Edit’ to change URL to match the page name. Use lower case letters and a dash (-) instead of a space.
Parent: Leave as is (no parent) or specify a parent page if this new page is a subpage.
Template: Leave as is (Default Template)
SEO Metadata (if YoastSEO plugin is activated)
Page Title: This will appear in Google search results and is the label of the tab when the site is open
Page Description: Write a 1-sentence description of this page that will be used in Google search results
Publish Side Bar
Most of these you can leave as is.
Publish immediately: By default, the Publish date is set to immediate. If you wish to publish a page in the future, you can schedule it by clicking ‘edit’ and specifying a release date
Save Draft or Publish: Click the ‘Save Draft’ button if you are not ready for this page to be public. Clicking ‘Publish’ will make the page live immediately.
Page Content
The easiest way to edit text content is to use the Visual Builder. To access, click the blue ‘Use Visual Builder’ button.
You can click on most parts of the page and type over existing content with your changes. You can also paste content, but note it will preserve inbound styling from the document you pasted from (such as bold, italics, etc).
Highlight the text to apply text styles as appropriate.
To add a link to your text, highlight the text you wish to make a link, click the ‘Insert Link’ icon and paste the URL in the field.
When you are finished, click the round purple dotted button at the bottom of the page. This will bring up a menu bar. Choose ‘Publish’, or ‘Save Draft’ if you are not ready to make your changes live.
Publishing a page doesn’t automatically add the page to the site navigation menu. Please contact Husk to add items to the menu.
If the text formatting doesn’t look the way you expect, please see ‘Help, The Text Doesn’t Look Right!’.
02
Edit Pages
Click the page you wish to edit and make the changes (see above ‘Page Content’ section for instructions).
When you are finished, click ‘Publish’ or ‘Save Draft’.
If the text formatting doesn’t look the way you expect, please see Help, The Text Doesn’t Look Right!
03
Delete Pages
Instead of deleting pages, we recommend hiding the page from the front end of the website but retaining a copy of it. To do this, under the Publish sidebar, click ‘Edit’ link next to the Status and change it to Draft.
To delete a page, click the ‘Move to Trash’ link on the Publish side bar. Once you delete a page, it will be moved to the trash. You can restore a page from the trash within 30 days, after which the page will be automatically and permanently deleted. To see pages in the Trash, navigate to Pages >> All Pages and clink on the ‘Trash’ link in the top menu.
